The Virginia Community Colleges Association (VCCA) is proud to be a part of this innovative publication. I am sure you will find the articles both informative and beneficial. If you have been a presenter at the annual VCCA convention or the VCCA Leadership conferences, I encourage you to submit an article for publication. Share your success, hard-work, and innovations with your colleagues.

The VCCA is your professional association advocating professional growth and development, excellence in teaching and learning, academic freedom, professional responsibility, and ethics. VCCA members are proud of the administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and board members at each of our community colleges. We encourage each of these individuals to become involved in professional development and growth.

Membership in the VCCA offers you the opportunity to become an active participant in the identification and examination of the ever-changing needs of our 23 community colleges. VCCA needs each of you to become involved with the Association. Your support and commitment to the objectives of the VCCA will make the difference in our degree of success. We need your help in promoting Virginia’s community colleges and insuring that all citizens have an opportunity to access higher education. We need to work toward achieving the full potential of community college education in Virginia.

On behalf of the entire committee, I would like to pledge our commitment to increase membership, strengthen the professional development opportunities, and continue the alliance with our community college constituencies. Remember, VCCA is your organization! Become a member! It takes all of us working together to make VCCA the best association possible!
