What Is Transfer Like? Vignettes from Interviews of Community College Transfer Students

 The degree of difficulty in students making the transition to a four-year institution after graduating from a two-year institution is illustrated by two vignettes and a discussion of the importance of establishing a niche.
Curriculum Design for Workforce Development: A Common Language

McGinty		 This article follows up on an article published in the Spring 1999 edition of Inquiry regarding the Work Keys system being advanced by several of the community colleges of Virginia. The first article evaluated the system from the perspectives of educational philosophies and andragogical principles. This article evaluates the Work Keys system relative to accepted curriculum design use as the system continues to grow with Virginia's business and industry community.
