Linda Rhinard, president, called the post-convention meeting to order in the Roanoke Ballroom H in the Hotel Roanoke.

Linda
Rhinard thanked everyone for stepping forward to serve the upcoming year with
the VCCA.
The
position of President-Elect is vacant and Linda Rhinard made the appointment of
Jennifer Allman (SwVCC) to serve as President-Elect Pro Tempore for the next
year. The Board approved the
appointment.
Linda passed out packets of information for each
member present and went over some of the items including upcoming meeting
dates. She also asked that personal
information be returned to her within a week.
Linda Rhinard and Lori Wack will be attending the
Student Leadership Conference on October 13 and 14, 2000 in Fairfax, VA.
There was discussion about a photographer for the VCCA. Mr. Jim Bates of Mountain Empire Community College volunteered to fill this position. The motion was made and seconded with Board approval to add the appointed position of Photographer to the Board.
Carolyn Haines is going to research the maximum amount
on the Professional Development and Grants Proposals as to whether it is $1,200
plus expenses or $1,500 inclusive.
Linda Rhinard asked the Board to think about speakers
for the upcoming Professional and Personal Development Conference to be held in
Charlottesville in March. This information
needs to be out to the college contacts the first of the year.
Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
