 CALL TO ORDER:

The Chair, Margaret Dutton, welcomed everyone and introduced Kay Robertson, Executive Board
Liaison, and Anita Dial, Member at Large. For the new members who were present, Kay gave background information on the VCCA past conventions, activities, concurrent sessions and responsibilities of VCCA members.

Marion Jackson, Secretary, presented the minutes from the then combined Student Services and
Student Government Commission meeting at the Roanoke Hotel Convention,
October 5, 2000. Minutes were read and approved.

Margaret then asked everyone to go around the room and introduce themselves and give a brief
description of what their role is in Student Services.

Margaret opened the floor for discussion and ideas for concurrent session topics for the upcoming
Convention. Some ideas were: (1) Have a panel on regulations for students with disabilities;
(2) someone to speak about the Document Imaging System (process of scanning
student records, etc.) (3) PeopleSoft overview/panel? Members of the commission will try to
get concurrent session speakers and give their names to the Chair.

Margaret asked for volunteers for officers for the upcoming convention and possible names
of colleagues that would be nominees. Margaret will pursue names and give ideas to the executive
committee.

Respectfully submitted,

Marion G. Jackson, Secretary
Student Services Commission
