The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Chesapeake Room, Hyatt Richmond, in Richmond, Virginia, by VCCA President, Virginia Hartman.

Monica Terry (TCC) -- Membership Liaison

Gwen Smith (TCC) -- Member at Large, 5000+ FTE

Deborah Canada (JSRCC) -- Member at Large, 2001-5000 FTE

Nancy Lewis (ESCC) -- Member at Large, 1-1000 FTE

Sue Painter (LFCC)-- Publications Liaison

Sue Captain (SWVCC) -- Parliamentarian

Melba Taylor (VHCC) -- Immediate Past President

Nancy Penney (LFCC) -- Member at Large, 1001-2000 FTE

 

Members Absent:

Sara Brown (LFCC) -- Publications Liaison

 

The President Elect presented Convention updates and room assignments for the Fall Convention. A list of vendors was compiled. Prizes will be awarded at the Massino Cassino night for “Most Winnings,” “Best Sport,” etc.

 

The Executive Committee commended Lori Wack, President-Elect, for her outstanding job on planning the Fall Convention.

 

VCCA Executive Committee

Memorandum for the Record

September 3, 1999

A motion was made and seconded to submit to the Assembly of Delegates the name of Robert C. Wrenn for a Lifetime VCCA membership in recognition of his 8-year tenure on the State Board of Community Colleges and for his outstanding support of the VCCA mission. Motion carried.

 

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 11:50 a.m. Motion carried.  The next meeting of the VCCA Executive Committee will be held on October 6, 1999, at the Hyatt Richmond.
