Join the VCCA

It’s that time again…time to renew your Virginia Community College Association membership.
It’s that time to take the first step ….. become a member of the Virginia Community College Association.
No where else can you gather with others who believe as you do, who believe in the mission of the community colleges in Virginia, and who seek to gain new perspectives in their professional development.
The VCCA is an organization of like minded individuals who believe in the value of higher education and the value that an educated populace brings to their colleges, communities, and to the state as a whole. The Virginia Community College System is a vital component of the economic wellbeing of the Commonwealth. The VCCA is the only organization within the System that is open to any one who shares in the commitment to the community colleges, be they administrators, faculty, classified staff, part-time employees, students, or just friends of Virginia’s community colleges.
Stop and join or renew today. Don’t wait. Just do it.
Then plan to join your fellow VCCA members at the Annual Convention on October 2-4, 2008, at the Founders Inn in Virginia Beach.

Information
The association's members - faculty, staff, students, and colleges - provide a strong, unified voice in support of the community college mission, programs, and services. Besides taking an active role in the identification and examination of changing needs, the VCCA is an agent for professional development, sponsoring small and large group events designed to increase one's knowledge and to improve one's skills.

News and Announcements Each autumn, the VCCA holds an annual convention. The workshop format provides members with the opportunity for communication on subjects ranging from broad philosophical issues to the more pragmatic aspects of educational programs and services. For information on the next convention, see "News and Announcements."
Publications The association, in a joint project with the Virginia Community College System, publishes a hard-copy, professional journal, Inquiry. In addition, the VCCA newsletters are available on-line.
